Many people originally hoped that it could bring support for Nvidia’s deep learning super sampling (DLSS) technology and 4K resolution. However, the OLED version of the Swith console is not completely useless. After all, it still brings a more sturdy stand and supports multi-angle adjustment. The internal storage has also increased from 32GB to 64GB. In terms of the dock, the new version of the Switch provides a wired Ethernet (LAN) interface, and the built-in speaker has also been improved. Although there is no sign that the OLED Switch console will support Nvidia DLSS, Nintendo still confirmed that the target resolution of the new machine is the same as that of the earlier Switch model (1080p for the console / 1080p when connected to a TV via the dock). In terms of the processor, the standard Switch console uses a customized Nvidia Tegra chipset. But on the OLED model, Nintendo has not brought any new surprises. Perhaps due to the drag of chip supply shortages, the Switch Pro has been slow to meet the majority of players. However, in terms of sales figures in the past year, Nintendo Swith still leads Sony PS5 / Microsoft Xbox Series X by a wide margin. After the OLED Switch is released, we should not expect an upgraded Switch Pro model to appear again in a relatively long period of time in the future.
